Absentee Ballot Information:
You can click here for information on who is eligiable to vote absentee. If you are eligible and interested in voting absentee you need to follow these next steps to request your absentee ballot and most importantly VOTE! Ballots should arrive by mail starting in October.
1. First you need to obtain your Absentee Ballot Application. You can get one here by printing it or here by requesting it online. You can also call the Town Clerk’s office at 860-675-2380 and they can send you one. You can email the Town Clerk’s office: frinkm@farmington-ct.org or you can go in-person at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall during normal business hours (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm) and request an absentee ballot application.
2. Complete your ballot application and return it to Town Hall. You can return your application to Town Hall in a few ways either; mail it to the Town Clerk’s office (Farmington Town Hall, 1 Monteith Dr., Farmington, CT 06032), drop it in the secure ballot box outside of Town Hall or deliver it in-person to the Town Clerk’s office, 1st floor Town Hall (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm).
3. Now the last step is most important you ballot has come in and it is time to vote! Follow all instructions and go slowly. You need to be sure to sign both the inside and outside envelopes for your vote to count!
4. Return your ballot! You can return your ballot to be counted in a few ways either; by mail (allow 2 weeks for it to be received) and mail to Farmington Town Hall, 1 Monteith Dr., Farmington, CT 06032, drop it in the secure ballot box outside of Town Hall, or deliver it in-person to the Town Clerk’s office. 5. Lastly, another option is once the ballots are ready in October you can apply for an absentee ballot and vote in person in one trip at the Town Clerk’s office. Call the Town Clerk’s office at 860-675-2380 to confirm that ballots are ready before you go.
