A Minute with Bobby Canto
Not many residents know the Town of Farmington better than lifelong Farmington resident, Robert “Bobby” Canto. Bobby attended Farmington Public Schools and graduated from Farmington High School in 1990. After graduation, Bobby proudly served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. Following his service in the Coast Guard, Bobby returned to Farmington and began working in his family’s paving and concrete construction business.
Missing public service, Bobby joined the Berlin Police Department in 2005, and proudly served the public for fifteen years before being medically retired. For eight of those years, Bobby served as the town’s Traffic Officer. As a Traffic Officer, Bobby assisted the Berlin Planning and Zoning office with issues related to traffic concerns. Presently, Bobby is a real estate agent with CT Realty Pros. His knowledge of Farmington provides tremendous insight to his many clients.
Bobby has been married to Nadine Canto for twenty-five years. His proudest accomplishment has been raising their two daughters, Ashley and Julia, both of whom have attended Farmington Public Schools.
Bobby is seeking a position on the Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission. His vast knowledge of the town in conjunction with his years of experience with traffic issues and paving and concrete construction, will be invaluable to the Town of Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission and to the residents of the Town of Farmington.
