A MINUTE WITH NADINE CANTO

If your child attended the Farmington Collaborative Preschool, East Farms, Irving Robbins or Farmington High School, there is a very good chance that you will recognize Nadine Canto. For more than eighteen years Nadine could be found supporting students by volunteering at numerous school events. She was a co-chair of the extremely popular East Farms 5K Run for many years. Nadine spent eight years volunteering with Farmington High School’s Project Graduation Committee and served as the Project Graduation Chair in 2018 and 2022. Residents will also recall Nadine as an enthusiastic and supportive mom for Farmington lacrosse, volleyball and dance club activities.

Folks will also remember Nadine for the eight years she spent as an energetic Farmington Girl Scout leader and for her time as a member of the Farmington Valley Relay for Life’s Event Leadership Team. Ever-active, Nadine currently serves as a board member and grant writer for the Farmington Community Chest, a local non-profit that provides organization and funding for local charities.

Nadine has been married to her husband, Bobby Canto, for twenty-five years. Nadine’s proudest accomplishment has been raising her two daughters, Ashley and Julia, both of whom have attended Farmington Public Schools.

Nadine is seeking a seat on the Farmington Board of Education. Her dedication to the youth of Farmington is genuine and runs deep. Nadine’s years of volunteerism, including in leadership capacities, demonstrate that she has the skills and ability to serve with distinction on the Farmington Board of Education.
