A Minute With Keith Vibert

Keith Vibert was born and raised in Farmington, Connecticut.  Growing up, he was a member of the First Church of Christ in Unionville, where his father, Bill, was a Sunday School teacher.  He is a product of the Farmington Public School system, and went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Tunxis Community College and then his Bachelor’s Degree from Central Connecticut State University.  Keith has always been an entrepreneur, and remains in close touch with his college professors.  He frequently speaks with classes about how to take a concept and turn it into a business.

While growing up, Keith worked for many businesses in town, but learned the most from the restaurant community.  He began his career washing dishes at the Old Town Tavern in Unionville Center (now Dunkin), and then worked at Naples Pizza, eventually becoming the manager.  These experiences made it possible for him to open his own business - Mondo [Middletown].  Through his own personal experiences within the business community in Farmington, Keith has seen a lot of change.  He believes that it is important to keep the small-town community feeling that the town has always had, but understands that change is constant. While the town’s buildings, roads and schools will continue to evolve, Keith will work hard to make sure that the character and values of the town continue to be at the forefront of that evolution.

Keith met his wife, Nicole, in Farmington while working at Naples. Nicole is also a lifelong Farmington resident. Keith and Nicole live in town with their two perfectly well behaved and absolutely never crazy boys. Farmington has given Keith a lot for which he is thankful, which is why as a member of the Farmington Republican Town Committee and also serving on Town Planning and Zoning (TPZ) as an Alternate, Keith is doing his best to give back to the town he loves.  When he is not at his restaurant you can find Keith spending time running, biking or chasing his boys down the Farmington River Trail.
