Paula B. Ray is a certified Connecticut Town Clerk and has also received her Master Connecticut Town Clerk certificate.   Paula was elected Farmington’s Town Clerk in 1999.  She has expanded the role of the Town Clerk to include Records Manager and Freedom of Information Commission Liaison for the entire town.  She has overseen the upgrade of the technology in the Town Clerk’s office to make the town records more accessible in the office and on the internet.  Currently land records back to 1966, survey maps back to the 1600’s and Trade name records are all available on the internet.  Paula has applied for and received grant funding to aid with technology upgrades from the state of Connecticut.

Paula is highly regarded by her peers.  She has served on several committees as Vice-President for Hartford County and Secretary on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Town Clerk’s Association.  Paula currently serves on the board of the New England City and Town Clerk’s Association.  

Paula has volunteered her time for numerous town groups.  She has had leadership roles with the Friends of the Farmington Library, the Farmington Community Chest, the Farmington 

Land Trust and the Farmington Veterans Memorial Committee.

Paula has been an elected official since 1993.   She served on the Farmington Board of Education from 1993 to 2002.  She has served as Town Clerk from 2000 to present.

She resides with her husband Kevin, a Farmington businessman, with whom she has three grown children Katie, Aimee and Danny.

Paula will continue to operate the Town Clerk’s office in a nonpartisan manner and provide the citizens of Farmington the fine service they deserve.
